Scholarship Requirements
To receive the KAIST Scholarship, applicants must first be admitted to the undergraduate program. KAIST automatically grants the scholarship to selected international applicants, which means no separate application form is required. However, students must maintain strong academic performance after enrollment. A minimum GPA of 2.7 out of 4.3 is required after the freshman year to continue receiving the scholarship benefits. English Language Requirements
Submitting an English Proficiency Test such as TOEFL or IELTS is recommended but not compulsory. Applicants without an English test score can still apply without facing any disadvantage. KAIST conducts many courses in English, and the university values diverse international students who may come from non-English-speaking countries.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the KAIST Undergraduate Scholarship 2026, applicants must hold foreign citizenship, and neither parent should be a Korean citizen. Applicants of Korean origin must prove that they completed their entire schooling (elementary to high school) outside Korea. Individuals holding Korean citizenship or dual nationality with Korea cannot apply as international applicants. All applicants must also pay the application fee during the online submission.
