Financial Benefits of SINGA Award 2025

  • SINGA covers the full tuition fees of the awardees.
  • Fellows receive a monthly stipend of $2,200, increased to $2,700 after qualifying for the first examination.
  • A onetime airfare grant of up to $1,500 is provided.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be International students.
  • A bachelor's degree completion is mandatory.
  • Excellent academic results are required.
  • Proficiency in the English language is essential.
  • Singaporean nationals or individuals with completed tertiary education in Singapore cannot apply.
  • Applicants wishing to apply for a Master's program are ineligible.
  • Only candidates pursuing a PhD in Science and Engineering are eligible.
  • PhD courses in social sciences, humanities, economics, etc., are not eligible.


How to Apply

  • Submit all necessary documents online.
  • Select research projects by browsing the projects from "Go to Research Areas."
  • Referees send reference letters directly to SINGA.
  • The application process starts after SINGA receives at least two reference letters.
  • Upload soft copies of required documents to the online application.
  • Applicants applying through the SINGA portal do not need to apply on university portals separately.
  • Submit applications at least two weeks before the deadline.
  • Elaborate on research proposals in the application forms.
  • Candidates can submit up to three research proposals.
  • No need to contact the supervisor to apply for SINGA.
  • Applicants can apply in any field of interest for a PhD, with no compulsion to follow the major in the bachelor.
